I own a Datsun, and after hearing some bumping noises from the back I thought I'd get it checked out (new shockers thought I). It turned out that the place where the bottom of the shock absorber bolts on had corroded away. Now after some talk with AFG Nissan, it "seems" that the plate where the shock absorber bolts on, is welded to the rear axle. Is this a job for Mr. Bodge or does it really mean a new axle? Any body want to recommend a decent bodyshop or welder who might be able to fix it? Ta, Dale.

I think that a new car could be in order, you should have earned a fair sum by the time IOSG kick you out in September, enough to get yourself a tidy motor, preferably one that's not made in Japan of course! Matt. P.S. I still think you should get a Mini!! P.P.S Oh, I forgot abou the question, how badly corroded is the axle? | |||||
