    "Drive & Survive Challenge Trophy 1991
    
    During 1991 it is our intention to run a Driving Competition for
    Company Car Drivers on a team basis.  This is in response to numerous
    requests from "trainees" who intimated that they would like to compete
    not only against their colleagues but also other company car drivers.
    
    We propose the following:
    
    	Up to a maximum of 10 teams from your company would compete against
    	each other in the heats. The winners will go forward then to the final.
    
    	Each team would consis of three persons who have previously
    	attended a defensive driving course with Drive & Survive.  They must be
    	able to produce a full driving licence and be "preventable accident"
    	free for the 6 months prior to the Competition start date.
    
    	The heats and the final will both be of one days duration.
    
    	Heats will take place at Ford Motorsport, Boreham or
    	Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire.
    
    	Competitors practical skills and theoretical knowledge will be
    	tested on the following
    	
    	a) skidcar	 b) formula finesse	c) circuit
    	d) public roads  e) trailer reversing	f) manoeuvrability
    	g) questionnaire h) auto test
    
    Costs
    Trainees have stated that the entry fee for the heats could be raised
    by themselves either individually or on a departmental or regional
    basis.
    
    A suggestion for the entry fee for the final is that the Company itself
    contributes the funds due to the media coverage and prestige of
    competing in the final of this competition against multinational
    Companies.
    
    The fee for each team is �300 plus VAT - heats
    			 and �300 plus VAT - final
    
    Prizes
    There will be quality prizes for the top three teams in the final.
    
    In addition the winning team will receive and retain the prestigious
    DRIVE & SURVIVE CHALLENGE TROPHY  for 12 months plus replica miniatures
    for each team member and have the opportunity to defend their title in
    the next years competition free of charge.  Drive & Survive will also
    donate �300 to a charity of the winner's choice.
    
    We feel this an excellent value for money package and we will supply
    all vehicles equipment and food on the day.  The events will have
    considerable media coverage and there will be high prestige attached
    to the Trophy itself.
