    Has anybody been driving in central Spain recently? We are driving down
    from Santander to Jerez and back at the end of the month, and are
    wondering what to expect. 
    
    What sort of roads are there - I've heard there is little in the way of
    dual carriage-way. Also, how much traffic do you get mid-week?
    
    What sort of distance could be covered in a day without too much
    strain?
    
    Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.

    We clocked 4000 miles to and around Spain in July.
    I have maps , books etc . Anything I can help with , I'm on the 5th
