.0� like this in Halfords nowadays. Anyone heard of it ?
Wasn't flushing oil, was it? I've used it many years ago - it created
great clouds of white smoke though; ideal for hiding in!

Yes it will be flushing oil, its called 'Engine Flush' and its made by
Wynns should be available at your local Halfords!!
You mix it with your exsisting oil, idle the engine for 10 mins, drain
and refil...

| I encountered this sludge problem on a 1985 Ford Orion 3 years ago, and
currently on a 1978 Triump Dolomite which I am restoring. Comma make an
excellent flushing oil:
First you drain your existing oil, and refill with 2 litres of Comma
Flushing Oil. Then run the negine for 10 minutes at high idle speed,
and drain again. Then change oil filter and refill with new oil as per
usual. Also ensure that the crankcase ventilation system is free of
this gooey stuff.
