I have a travel query: It is: I want to get from Fishguard to Dover this September and later in September from Harwich to Fishguard Q: How much time should I allow for each trip assuming my max speed wont ever exceed 70mph and assuming I take the Most direct Routes Thanksinadvance. Brian.

.0� assuming my max speed wont ever exceed 70mph The problem will be deciding where on the M25 you can travel at 70 - not will you exceed 70!!. From Harwich its down the A604 to Colchester, then A12 towards London, then M25 north about around to the M4, then along the M4 as far as possible. Assuming you are NOT on the M25 at busy times (?), you can expect about 4.5 hours driving Harwich to the Severn Bridge on the M4. Beyond that I am not sure. | |||||

Reading/Fishguard about 3 1/2 hrs at best, 4 hrs to be safe. DO it most weekends, so a familiar track. Avoid Friday late afternoon/ evening if possible. I normally leave Reading around 2100hrs & get to the Fishguard area just as the pubs shut .............(0030/0100hrs) |
