Has anyone had experience of having 'major'ish bodywork carried out on their lease car? For example, say I wanted a garage to do a body styling job on my car that cost 1000, can this be incorporated into the lease cost? Are fleet happy to do this? Can I work out roughly what this will cost? Mr Moderator. I have a feeling this is discussed somewhere else, but I can't find it despite searching on CAR, LEASE, RATHOLE(!), EXTRA, ADDITIONS and more. Anyone help/point me to the right note? Cheers, Greg

How about chucking most of the lease car away and building a kit car round it? Would PHH be happy with this? Jon :-)

..as the Lease companies won't even quote for non-standard not off-the-shelf type vehicles...I doubt it... not even for an ERA Mini :-(

Try asking them. If the body mods are sort of standard (Irmscher part for a GM car, Tickford or Ford AFV for a Ford and can be put on by "Approved" sources, they can price it up, if they have the will. The cost may well be, shall we say high, as the cost to us gets slugged when mods aren't done at the factory. You'd better be prepared for the actual cost of the mods to be divided by 3 and that to be added to the annuial lease cost of the car that's being modified..... |
