| Wasn't the Renegade the model name for the thing which had the bulbous
"Champ" look about it that was made by AMC/JEEP. If so find either
an AMC importer or a specialist supplier. AMC were the US Renault
dealer so that might be a place to start.

| A RENEGADE eh?
Is this some sort of feable attempt at making yourself look macho
Lewis?
Why not get yourself a Chieftain Tank, or maybe you could pick up
an Intergalactic Starfighter pretty cheap second-hand - both are
about as useful on european roads as a bloody Renegade.
toot, toot.

| Hi Lewis,
About RENEGADE in France... I'm living in the south of France and down
here there is a lot of those cars ( I used myself to have a Toyota BJ42
some monthes ago ). I have recently seen some beautifull ones, a red
one and a white one, both with black hard-top. Prices were around
100.000 FF as I can remember.
Those cars in France are distributed by RENAULT, and you have
generally in each town a wide dealer with second-hand cars.
In some areas in France, 4X4 cars are more popular than in others ; It
generally depends on the natural environment, if you have mountains, or
like in the south, lots of off-road tracks and a nice weather !
I'll keep a look to it, and if I see something interesting, will keep
you updated..
cheers,
cj.

| cj,
thanks for the info. i have not seen many renegades but i do know
that the 4x4's are really popular out here. I was really looking
for an english car, because i will probably spend most of my time
in england, but if you see one for sale over here then, i will
definately be interested.
One thing, i am really looking for a soft top.
Cheers,
Lewis.

| I saw an advertisement for a T34 tank in the Exchange & Mart recently
- a real one, not a Volvo ...

I used to have a nice little runner which all my mates called 'the
tank'. It was a Nissan Bluebird Estate. Now i want a higher tank ;-)
so i can see over the traffic as well as around!
Lewis.
