I have two electronic ignition box's sitting on the garage floor at
home, one was given to me in a garage clear out(apparently still works)
This one is an oblong box with a switch and led on the top of it,
about 6 inchs by 2 by2 in size, it has cooling fins on it, and it
clips ontop of the coil. From memory, about two or three wires come out
of the end. The trouble is that I have no instructions or anything for
it!
The other was on my Beetle when I bought it, this one was not
connected up, so I assume it's a bit dodgey!, I took it off to get to
the no.3 spark plug (thats a right s@d to get at!)
If anyone can enlighten me on what/how to do with these things, or is
it worth it, then I would be very gratefull. (so would my garage
floor!)
Carl.

One of the main advantages of electronic ignition over contact breakers
is that once you start reving highly points become almost usless
due to engine vibration the ignition timming starts to scatter badly.
Its a good investment to have it on a racing mini.
