    Good Afternoon Punters.
    
    
    I seem to be having a little trouble with my Golf.
    
    Does anyone know how big a job it is to replace a clutch pressure
    plate? Is it worth attempting myself (With limited tools) or shall
    I take the 'throw money at it' soft option, and give it to a garage.
    The manual said something obsene like 'remove the gearbox, as described
    in chapter 6'. How much is a new pressure plate going to cost me,
    and how much should I expect to pay for labour.
    
    
    The other problem I have is with the fuse box. Does anyone else
    have problems keeping it dry? At present mine is upside down in
    a sainsburys bag to protest it. It seems that as soon as it rains
    the water gets in somehow and flattens my battery in a very short
    space of time. Fortunately there are lots of hills in my present
    location.
    
    Any tips would be appreciated.

	I had my clutch replaced at Royal Berks Motor Co. The whole clutch assembly was replaced for pounds 200 inc. labour for a VW Jetta TX 1987 and guarenteed for 12 months .Try them tel.Reading 666111.
