| I'm considering a SAAB 900 Turbo, 1983, 75,000 miles as a second car.
Factors are;
Safety
Reliability
Comfort
Any comments?
Thanks,
Dave.

| Who said they are sluggish, I thought it quite quick. Not as smooth as it
could be though. Bought it anyway.

Dave,
There was a What Car or Autocar long term test report on a SAAB
recently. They said some good things about the car - only real
negative point was the cost of spares.

| Had a look at the 9000 XS today - priced at 19,245 !!
All sorts of goodies like CD player, air con or leccy sun roof as
standard etc. etc. etc. Plan to hold price at 19,245 regardless of
recent VAT hike.

701.7 | Info on Saab 900 please | YUPPY::PEGLEY::pegley | Steve Pegley 847-6570 | Fri Feb 26 1993 11:29 | 9 |
| I am thinking about getting a quote on a Saab 900. They are replacing the
range this year and have upgraded the spec to include air conditioning and a
CD player.
Anyone got a view of these or got a quote recently?
Regards
Steve

| Looks a good buy, especially if you're into safety, but I would watch
the fuel consumption...
Most of the Saab 900s seem to be quite thirsty, and have a touring
consumption of less than 30mpg according to the govt figures.
