Any updated reports on Carbonflo?
Has it wrecked your wife's engine, John?
Have any of the long term tests by those magazines testing it borne
fruit?

611.16 | Carbonflo in Landrover V8 ? | MCGRUE::FRENCHS | Semper in excernere | Fri May 24 1991 17:25 | 12 |
| I saw one of these last night. Seven half moon shaped lumps of tin and some
thing alloy. Theye were inside a metal cage tube. Don't know what the cage was
made of. The makers are going to send me the info. I am also very scepticel.
The guy I was talking to phoned them up. They have even used this thing in
ally. block V8 rover engines. If it can be proved to me that it won't wreck
the engine I could be tempted, even at 75. The guy was going to put it into
his Pug 309 which he said also had an ally engine.
Do we have any more info regarding this little fellow.

611.18 | FUEL-CAT now installed | TRMPTN::FRENCHS | Semper in excernere | Thu Jan 09 1992 10:07 | 12 |
| I have now istalled an identical item called fuel-cat. I have only done about
80 miles since having it installed. The big differecne is price. Fuel-cat cost
me 35 as opposed to the 75 that carbonflo charge.
It may be cheaper to stick with leaded instead of going to unleaded, it all
depends on the MPG increase. I have a couple of information leaflets if anyone
wants one.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Carbonflo UK Ltd, the manufacturers of a product that allegedly
cuts exhaust emissions and increases fuel economy, has pleaded
guilty to two counts of false trade description. Trading standards
officers in Walsall, West Midlands, brought the case after
research showed that tin alloy pellets encased in a metal gauze
failed to live up to promises.
