| Well, the saw horses were a good start...let me look around a little.
Seems that I may have come across something like this before.

894.2 | Wire spools work good | ISLNDS::CARLBERG | | Fri Mar 05 1993 12:11 | 19 |
| I used an old wire spool laid flat. Take some one by's and nail to the
edges of the round parts. Make a cutout on on the top part for two
4x4's mounted vertically and set the roof on them. You could try to
find a wooden bucket at a flea market and attach with rope. I've made a
coule of them in the past and they look great.

Spag's had an easy looking WW on sale some time ago. Its design was
simple. Take some 2X and offset stack them ( _-_-_ ) something
like this. In an octogon pattern. Slap 2 uprights for the roof
and make 2 2'x2' sections of plywood for the rooof. finish with
wood singles and add the crank and rope. Looks simple to
build and you could do it with scrap too...

I've been looking around at other peoples' wishing wells and have seen
the one you're (-.1) talking about. I think my wife likes it but I'm
not sure if I do. It's a possibility though. My sister-in-law has a
wishing well in her yard so I'll probably go over there when the snow melts
and do some reverse engineering (I promise not to take it apart
though).
