642.0. "Flagstone" by R2ME2::BENNISON (Victor L. Bennison DTN 381-2156 ZK2-3/R56) Sat Sep 01 1990 22:47

    Wanted: Flagstones (small quantity)

I ran out of flagstones while putting flagstone paths around our two
raised gardens. I need about 10 to 12 square feet more. Is there
anywhere in the southern New Hampshire area where you can by small
quantities? Does anyone have any leftover from some project? I
didn't buy these, they came with the house and were part of a weed
overgrown sun patio that I tore up.

You could always buy them at Corriveau-Routhier, the major masonry supplier for
southern NH. I've been to their store in the center of Nashua, and I know that
they have other stores.

I also saw some out at East Coast Lumber in Kingston. I don't know how much
they're selling them for.

Oops. I meant to put this is 1666, but said WRITE instead of REPLY.
Secondly, I'm informed that what I'm looking for is not flagstone but
slate. Same person informed me that I can get slate by the pound at
Currier Lumber in Amherst. Thanks. - Vick

Maybe a bit late, but you can also try Hudson (NH) Quarry on Rt. 102 in
Hudson. It's over by the Hudson racetrack.

I recently purchased several patio blocks for a sidewalk. Some I had
from a year ago @ .69, some I bought at Benson's who lowered their
normal price of .89 to match an ad I had (.72), then I ran across an ad
for HQ selling the same blocks for .55.

I don't know what they sell slate or other stuff for, but it might be
    worth a look.

Ann & Hope periodically has patio blocks on sale for $.50.
