Does anyone know what is involved in making an authentic golf-course style PUTTING GREEN? I want to do so and was told it is more than just good loam and seed. Any help? Mark

Being an avid golfer (though not very good) I have seen a few greens being re-built. It seems that the main thing is good drainage. I suggest that you talk to the greens keeper at your home course, he should be able to give you all the pointers you need, as well as suggesting a possible source for seed. I doubt that your local garden shop carries bent grass. Alan | |||||

I have gotten a couple of helpful hints but they were all alot more involved than I want to get.I plan to just use atro turf or something.I really need hints on levelling out the area and getting it firm enough to walk on etc. thanks, frank |
