I wrote a long reply yesterday only to have the net exit and lost
the note @$%^$#^&$%&!!!!!
Anyway, my friends had their house moved from next to Hanscon Air
Base in Lincoln, MA to Concord. They used Metropolitan Building
Movers, located near Boston. The house was a two story modified
Cape with a dormer on the back. They lifted the house with hydralic
jacks, put it on an I-beam trailer, and merrily moved it the ~10
miles.
These are experienced movers, they have moved four story brick
buildings and other structures. Any such company is fully insured.
They also work the policy that they own the house from the second
they pick it up until they put it on the new foundation. This limits
your liability if anything happens.
If you have any specific questions about them, let me know.

2022.4 | Grandma's Attic Movers | ULTRA::WITTENBERG | Secure Systems for Insecure People | Sat Jul 15 1989 14:44 | 5 |
| Grandma's Attic handled my last move. It was a short move (within
Hudson, MA) with no particularly tricky pieces. They came on time,
and did a good job.

| This may not be the correct place, but I was
wondering if it is customary to tip movers,
and if so, what is a good amount ?
thanks...tim
